Biography

Regina Costantino, PhD, LSW

Dr. Costantino has over 30 years of combined experience in risk management, safety assessment and planning, motivation assessment and incentives design, conflict management, peer mediation, change management, education, training, and testing at the individual, group, and organization levels. She completed her dissertation in the area of occupational safety by examining psychological needs, types of motivation, and demographic variables as predictors of types of safety motivation in public employees. She addressed the problem of under reporting and was able to make relevant recommendations about motivation, incentives, and contextual and individual differences that may increase safety outcomes and benefit profitability and ratings in public organizations. Dr. Costantino's experience in risk and safety management has spanned across the private domain in restaurants, retail, education and healthcare, and across the public domain in behavioral health care and education. 

Dr. Costantino currently serves as an intervention specialist in a public school district in Ohio, where she is a leader in school success initiatives, conflict management, and crisis planning and response. She identifies the motivation types, strengths and needs of diverse students in grades K-12 and designs and delivers successful interventions. 

Following her dissertation and PhD, Dr. Costantino formed Absolute Organizational Solutions to provide Industrial Organizational Psychology consulting to address and improve workplace issues that impact an organization's mission.

Dr. Costantino earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, where she was elected to serve on the Student Government Association for four years. She has a Master's Degree in Education from Ashland University in Ashland. She has her PhD in Psychology from Capella University, where she was recognized for Graduation with Distinction for her Academic Achievement. She completed a quantitative dissertation titled "A Correlational Study: Self-determination and Intrinsic Safety Motivation in Public Employees", which was published by ProQuest. Dr. Costantino is currently a member of the Ohio Education Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. ​She also serves on a local Mental Health Board in a state appointed position to collaboratively make recommendations for innovative and comprehensive behavioral health care.

Jeffrey Rich

Jeff has over 30 years of experience in aviation and has participated in aircraft accident/incident investigations for over 20 years. Jeff’s initial career at the Federal Aviation Administration began as an air traffic controller at an FAA Level 12 Air Route Traffic Control Center.  Jeff subsequently moved to the FAA Great Lakes Regional Office as a specialist investigating aircraft accidents and incidents.  Jeff then accepted a position as an FAA Investigator-In-Charge in the Office of Accident Investigation in Washington, DC. While there, he was the investigator-in-charge (IIC) on over 15 major accidents, and served as a Technical Advisor to the U.S. Accredited Representative on multiple foreign aircraft accidents worldwide.

Jeff returned to a Level 12 enroute facility as a Front Line Manager, and subsequently accepted a position as an incident/accident investigator for the FAA Air Traffic Organization Office of Safety.  As the air traffic lead investigator, he participated in over 20 major aircraft accident and incident investigations.

Following his FAA retirement, Jeff continues to work for an aviation consulting firm as an aviation analyst supporting the FAA Metroplex Airspace Redesign project.

Jeff has a Bachelor’s Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and was inducted as a member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society. Jeff holds a commercial pilot certificate with single and multi-engine ratings and has accumulated over 2000 hours of flight time. Jeff has been a full member of the International Society for Air Safety Investigators (ISASI) for over 20 years.
